About me
Hi there! I am a native English speaker, born and raised in California. I have been living in the Baltics for the past 4 years and I've been working as a private English tutor for the last two years.
In my free time you can find me walking in the forest, on the beach, or enjoying a cup of tea in a cafe. I love reading, writing, dancing, and have recently begun watercolor painting. I speak Spanish and I am currently learning Russian. I would say my Russian is level A2.
I like travelling to new places to enjoy nature. So far I have been to Mexico, Costa Rica, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, Finland, Latvia, Spain, and of course I live in Estonia :)

My lessons focus on conversation so that the student becomes comfortable speaking English spontaneously. I particularly enjoy teaching proper pronunciation and sentence stress. My students have ranged in age from 8 to 50 years old. I have taught students whose first language is Russian, Latvian, Portuguese, Japanese, and Estonian. Some had no prior knowledge of English while others were quite advanced. I always tailor my lessons specifically to each student's needs. For beginner English students we will focus on basic language acquisition. For intermediate level students we will reinforce what they already know while adding to their English vocabulary and introducing more complex sentence structure. For advanced students we will correct any unnatural speaking habits that may have been picked up due to lack of exposure to native English while adding idioms and common phrases to their vocabulary.
If you have any other specific requests or objectives in studying English please let me know in your first lesson and I will take it into consideration when preparing my lesson plan.
