About "Moi International Sports Centre"
The Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) is the largest multi-purpose sports centre in Kenya. Originally constructed to host the All-Africa games in 1987, the centre consists of the Kasarani Stadium, a 60,000 outdoor seat stadium; the Kasarani Indoor Arena; and the Kasarani Aquatic Stadium with recreational swimming open to the public. The onsite Kasarani stadium is most frequently used for international and professional football (soccer) games, and acts as the primary home for the the Kenya national football team as well as Kenyan professional teams Mathare United and Tusker FC. The stadium derives its name from the location of the Sports Centre in the Kasarani constituency of Nairobi. The MISC also has an onsite hotel, The Stadion, as well as assorted restaurants in the various stadiums and arena. Ample on site parking is available.
