About me
Hi, my name is Lou. I am an Accountant by profession and though I find my job somewhat exhausting, it does help keep the lights on lol! I am currently studying to obtain degree in Real Estate Finance. I love shopping, watching movies, sports, gardening, traveling, meeting new people and trying out new recipes!
My lessons & teaching style
I have a 120 hour TEFL certificate and have been an online tutor for the past 4 years and have learnt a lot such as how to engage my students, help them prepare and let them direct their own learning using their interests.
I focus my teaching on improving speaking, listening and reading skills along with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and Business English. I have found that creating an environment where the student feels comfortable enough to ask questions no matter how irrelevant or “wrong” they may seem, discussing those questions and leading the students towards the right answer tends to go a long way in helping them achieve their learning goals.
